About the Artist
Jon Prom is an Alberta-based Landscape Artist most known for his life-like renditions of the Canadian Rockies. He is self-taught and works primarily in the acrylic medium on canvas. He frequently uses paint enhancing materials and epoxy resin to further reinforce the realistic nature of his work.
After many years of learning paralleling skills and techniques as a car painter and wrapper, JonProm Art was created and painting as an artist became Jon's full-time career purpose . As an intrinsically innovative person, Jon is continuously creating new artwork with diverse mediums, unique techniques, and creative processes.
Inspiration
Much of my artwork is inspired by the outdoors and vivid memories, whether a single iridescent feather floating from the open sky, the perpetual engine hum below a vibrant evening metro skyline, a warm ray of sunshine on a vast mountain view, or whatever the day presents.
With my passion for nature and the creative spark it provides, I enjoy being outdoors and expanding my pool of inspiring experiences through many summits and hikes with my wife and two dogs.
